Intro to Florida Vegetable Gardening
Thursday, December 4th 7:30pm - 8:30pm @ Sans Market 1037 Central Ave
Learn the ins and outs of vegetable gardening in Florida, just in time for our prime growing season! If you are just getting started with gardening, or have struggled in the past, this class will give you the foundations to succeed. Elise Pickett with The Urban Harvest will share beginner gardening concepts to get you growing food like a pro, with a special emphasis on sustainable practices.

We are lucky here with a mild climate and an abundance of food that we can grow but without some foundational concepts gardening in Florida can be a challenge. Please note that in an effort to make the knowledge and tools needed to grow your own food accessible there is a sliding scale for the tickets to this class. Please choose the price tier that best reflects your financial needs and capacity at this time.
Tier 1: $7 A subsidized ticket option to reduce the cost barrier for those who need it. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills needed to grow your own food.
Tier 2: $20 This is the full price of the class. This supports the facilitator + team members for their time, energy and effort to put this class together.
Tier 3: $27 The full price of the class plus a little extra to help us offer the subsidized ticket option and make growing your own food more accessible to others in the community. We are grateful for your generosity and support.

Wool Dryer Ball Workshop

Craft and learn as you create 3 personalized wool dryer balls to take home or gift this holiday season!

-Learn how wool dryer balls are a great eco-frienldy alternative to dryer sheets and fabric softeners

Hosted by Amy Siuda and Shannon Gowans, Eckerd College Professors of Marine Science and devolopers of the Remora App which helps users track their single use plastic usage and collect data to make important policy changes.
A portion of ticket sales will go toward the Remora App and their mission to reduce plastic waste

Sourdough for Beginners Class
Join Kelsey Yates, Author of “Sourdough for the People”, for an interactive demonstration style sourdough making class.
